It seems as if we’ve had the driest May for some years! Preparations are continuing for a return to bowls, but a good overnight downpour would be a tonic for the green. Hoping to receive further information about relaxation of lockdown this week.

2020 Season

Well, after the recent good weather the green would have been ready!
The rain has returned just in time for the planned opening day, but we hope to be able to get onto the green in some way later in the year.
Keep safe everyone, and we’ll look forward to meeting up again.

Coaching – Primary Schools

Since 2013 the Club has organised a programme of coaching in 3 local primary schools. Each year we have visited the schools for initial coaching on the school yard or in the school hall before groups visit our green for 2 further coaching sessions. In July, before the end of the school term, the Club hosts a tournament for groups from each school. In addition, the Club offers coaching for Juniors on a Monday evening at the Club.
